Inspirasi Story - What is Alfiyah?

Alfiyah Ibn Malik was widely accepted by students of Arabic grammar, and they were keen to memorize and explain it more than other grammatical texts, due to its organization, ease of use, and conciseness of grammatical and morphological rules, with a precise arrangement of grammatical topics, and precise citation of each of them.

Recitation of 4 baits from Alfiyah

**

He reminds us: every learn must begin with remembering Allah.

In math, we learn about rules and numbers.

For example, 2 + 4 = 6.

If one number changes, the result is wrong.

In language, it’s the same.

If we change one harakat, the meaning changes completely.

For example,

زَيْدٌ ضَرَبَ عَمْرًا” means Zaid hit Amr,

but “زَيْدًا ضَرَبَ عَمْرٌ” means Amr hit Zaid.

See? One small change — big difference!

So, that’s wrong!

That’s why both Alfiyah and Mathematics teach us the same thing:

Be careful, be consistent, keep balance, and respect the rules.

Because order is part of knowledge, and knowledge is part of faith.

In the Qur’an, Allah also speaks about balance.

Allah says in Surah Ar-Rahman, verses 7–8:

“And He has raised the sky and set the balance,

so do not transgress in the balance.”

It means Allah made balance in everything —

in the sky, in language, in numbers, in the earth, and in our life.

In conclusion,

From Alfiyah, we learn the balance of words.

From Mathematics, we learn the balance of logic and mind.

From the Qur’an, we learn the balance of life and faith.

Knowledge is not only in books.

But, it’s in our heart, in our actions, and in our balance.
